This Privacy Notice explains how JRK Business Network (“JRK”, “we”, “us”) handles personal data when you visit jrkbusiness.net or contact us.
1. Who is responsible for your data
JRK Business Network is the controller of personal data processed through this website. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@jrkbusiness.net with the subject line “Privacy request”.
2. Personal data we collect
- Information you provide: your name, email address, message, and any other information you choose to include in an enquiry.
- Technical and security data: IP address, browser or device information, requested pages, timestamps, and security events that may be recorded by our hosting and security services.
- Anti-abuse data: the contact form creates a one-way hash derived from the submitting IP address and retains it for approximately one minute to limit repeated submissions.
Contact-form messages are delivered by email and are not stored as contact records in WordPress by the JRK Core plugin.
3. Why we use personal data
We process personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and take steps requested before a possible contract, under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR;
- manage professional communications and appropriate business records, based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR;
- protect the website, mailbox, and infrastructure from spam, fraud, and security threats, based on our legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; and
- comply with legal obligations where Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies.
We do not sell personal data and do not use contact-form information for unrelated advertising. If we introduce newsletters or other consent-based marketing, we will provide a separate choice and update this notice.
4. Whether you must provide data
You are not legally required to contact us. The name, email, and message fields are necessary for us to receive and respond to a website enquiry. Without them, we may be unable to respond.
5. Who receives personal data
Personal data may be processed by service providers supporting website hosting, email delivery, security, maintenance, and professional advice. They receive only the information needed for their role and are required to protect it. We may also disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or in connection with a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we use or require an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, such as an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary safeguards where required.
7. How long we keep data
- Business enquiries and related correspondence are generally kept for up to 24 months after the last meaningful interaction.
- Information connected to a contract, legal obligation, dispute, or legal claim may be kept longer for the applicable statutory or limitation period.
- Spam, irrelevant, or unsuccessful enquiries may be deleted sooner.
- The contact-form anti-abuse hash is kept for approximately one minute.
- Hosting, email, backup, and security logs are retained according to the relevant provider settings and only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, troubleshooting, continuity, or legal compliance.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
The public website does not currently use analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. Strictly necessary cookies or similar technologies may be used for security, session management, administration, and core website functions. If non-essential cookies are introduced, we will update this notice and request consent where required.
9. Security
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data. No internet or email system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Send requests to contact@jrkbusiness.net. We may need to verify your identity. We normally respond within one month, subject to extensions permitted by law.
11. Automated decisions
We do not use personal data collected through this website for decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
